Less is more

Efficient handling of existing resources is becoming ever more important in our society. Broadcaster SRF reported on the Swiss ski resort of Gstaad in its 10vor10 programme, devoting its Die Idee section to the theme of "no waste of snow". SRF showed how Gstaad is continually reducing the costs of snow management with SNOWsat. The resorts saves on energy, water and diesel through efficient snow production and grooming - and does so to the tune of CHF 300,000 a year. Anyone wanting to remain competitive in the future will find it hard to manage without such a system.
