SNOWsat Maintain

There's a lot happening in ski area workshops. Depending on the fleet size, you have to keep an overview of numerous vehicles, systems and pieces of auxiliary equipment as well as of all deadlines and maintenance times. Which equipment is available? When is the next service appointment? Were any irregularities observed during the last shift? SNOWsat Maintain provides the answer to all these questions and more.

Developed together with customers

The idea for SNOWsat Maintain, the latest digital solution from Kaessbohrer, originated in 2018 from a project that was carried out together with customers. In an open and ongoing discussion, representatives of various ski areas along with Kaessbohrer looked at this question: How can processes associated with service and maintenance be digitized and, as a result, hereby simplified for all involved? After the kick-off in the summer, we worked intensely on programming, validating and testing. This was a success. Only a few months later, in May of 2019, the solution was presented at Interalpin in Innsbruck, Austria. At this leading trade fair for alpine technology, Kaessbohrer and its overhauled SNOWsat succeeded in making a digital "sweep," covering all the areas of a ski area and thereby making a data-based contribution to conserving resources and reducing costs.

Potential savings always available at a glance

SNOWsat Maintain provides its users—such as workshop employees, slope managers and operators—with revolutionary advantages. Users can view the availability of vehicles and equipment or the inventory at a glance. Accordingly, the software guarantees maximum planning reliability and simultaneously reduces downtime. Maintenance processes, incurred costs and other activities are documented, analyzed and evaluated in SNOWsat Maintain. This way it is possible to discover potential savings and to save money in the right places.

Transparent and easy-to-understand

SNOWsat Maintain is more than documentation software. This new solution simplifies communication between the various parts of the ski area. Task management, digital shift changes and processing of shared checklists (also in combination with SNOWsat ToDo) are only a few functions that let the team spend valuable time on the important matters. Thanks to an integrated memo function and digital service booklet, upcoming maintenance is displayed in good time so it can't be missed anymore. The individual maintenance schedules for vehicles can also be stored in the system. Spare parts ordered in the PistenBully spare part shop are automatically booked into your own warehouse via an interface. This ensures that the inventory is always up to date. SNOWsat Maintain is manufacturer-independent and integrates all kinds of equipment—not just snow groomers but also snow cannons, skidoos and cars.

An initial conclusion from the ski areas: SNOWsat Maintain is a hit!

Following the immediate success of SNOWsat Maintain, vigorous progress is being made. The first systems were put into operation even before the 2019/2020 season. Alois Steidl and Philipp Brandstetter from Leoganger Bergbahnen have been using SNOWsat Maintain from the beginning—and they are impressed with it.
